The units all feature courtyards, are connected to single storey therapy & service modules, and are on or directly adjacent to existing hospital campuses. The projects required detailed safety planning and phasing as part of the design stage to minimise the effects of the construction works on the existing functioning hospital campuses and to ensure they were allowed to continue to function without risk to patients or staff and in particular that traffic movements, both pedestrian and vehicular.
